Viren, formerly known as Virender Kumar, adopted the name “Viren” given by his friends at the College of Art, and he is now globally recognized as Viren.
Just after final year exam Viren went to the Mumbai film industry, where he worked with Ajay Devgan’s production house. Later, he returned to Delhi and began working on art and animation films, film production houses, and NGOs. Driven by his desire for advanced learning, he initiated an Art NGO named FACE INDIA foundation for art, culture, and education, along with a monthly newspaper called ART TIMES. He is heandling two South Korean NGOs in India. Simultaneously, he was invited as a guest faculty for photography, design, and filmmaking. He also served as the Art and Creative Director for an animation film for cinema and curated national and international art exhibitions and festivals. He is making two animations, one on H.H Dalai Lama and second on the history of India and Korea.
He is passionate about travelling and exploring Ladakh. His first expedition to Ladakh in 2003 created such a strong attachment that he began visiting Ladakh every year by road on a bike. In 2008, he completed his first solo ride and reached the world’s highest non-motorable pass near the China border called Marsmik-La Pass. Ladakh is now his second home, and he undertakes significant architectural projects, such as the design of monasteries and an eco-village. He is also involved in wildlife and environmental conservation projects in Ladakh and engages in eco-tourism educational projects. He also publish a magazine LADAKH FINDER.
Viren received a fellowship from the US government in 2016 to study the Asia Pacific Leadership Program at the East West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii—an esteemed think tank institute where even Mr. Barack Obama studied.
In addition to his learning habits, Viren became the first alumnus from the College of Art to obtain an LL.B and become an Advocate. He pursued additional education, including diplomas in Cinematography and Diploma in Naturopathy & Yoga Science. He is committed to spreading legal awareness in the art and design industry.
His mindfulness meditation practice keeps him ready to learn from every second of life.
