He got National Diploma from College of Art, New Delhi in 1966. Joined as a Lecturer in College of Art, New Delhi. He retired as Assistant Professor in 2003. He was vice-President of AIFACS.
He attended Graphic workshops by Paul Lingren, Carol Summers, Krishna Reddy and numerous workshops in India and Abroad. He was awarded senior fellowship of Ministry of Human Resource Development, government of India. He held eight solo shows in India and at Saskatoon and Vancouver, Canada. He participated in more than hundred group shows in India and abroad. He was appointed Commissioner for 13th Print Biennale De Sarcelle France for Indian participation. Also Appointed Commissioner for 2nd International Art Biennale, Mauritius. Attended Pingyao International Photography featival, Pingyao, China and many art Biennales and Triennales.
He has many awards to his credit including Annual All India Art Exhibition by ALL India Fine Arts & Crafts Society, New Delhi. “Kala Shree” from All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society, New Delhi. Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi and Certificate of Merit from Lantham Foundation International Poster Contest.
