ANUSRI SAHA

(2012, BFA / 2014, MFA Applied Art)

I am Anusri Saha, born in West Bengal. But brought up in New Delhi. I did my BFA from college of Art (Delhi University) in 2012 and M.F.A from Rabindra Bharti University in 2014. Also, I had received scholarship in painting from C.C.E.R.T (Ministry of Culture, Govt. Of India).
My work is assimilation of representative objects and ambiguous spaces.
I like to tell story through my art. My work is inspired by human behaviour and my experiences.
The painting Anxiety represents a state of inner turmoil. The painting narrates a situation where the person has left with no choice but to wait for the right time or the time to pass by.
In the painting hay simbolizes loosing hope and multicolor surface over hay depicts bright, cheerful and hope for new possibilities. The over all green color painted in foreground and background simbolizes flow of life (unstoppable time). And haphazard footprints in the painting represents state of mind ie ‘Anxiety’.
