Her prints earned her prestigious awards and an inclusion in prominent artist associations such as Group 8, Shilpi Chakra, Mumbai Art Society, Lalit Kala Akademi and AIFACS. Followed by a 2 years fellowship to the Netherlands before she returned to New Delhi. Santosh has held solo exhibitions in Paris and Amsterdam and exhibited her graphics in New York, Australia, UK and India.<br>By using mediums as a language of expression, Jain\u2019s practice over the years has included lithographs, collages, paintings and photographs. The past decade of her career has centered around Photography Mixed Media \u2013 a dexterous play of her original photographs of the everyday with art softwares and conventional inks, pastels, pen and charcoal.<br>Her recurring subjects include \u2018women\u2019 and \u2018the exploited\u2019 that expand into empathy and layered personal narratives. She refers to these works as \u2018her second language, which allows her to freely share long forgotten episodes of her life and her innermost feelings\u2019.<br>In the recent past, her prominent shows include<br>\u2018Time frame\/s, solo show at Art Heritage Gallery (2016)<br>\u201cThe Lockdown Series\u201d \u2013 group show at Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai (2021)<br>Solo shows at The Method, Mumbai (2021 &amp; 2023)<br>Solo OVR \u2018Pushing Boundaries\u2019 on Terrain.art in 2023<br>\u2018Dialogues Of Being\u2019 &#8211; group show at Bikaner House, New Delhi (2023)<br>Collagraphs featured at the International Biennial of Engraving in Sarcelles, France (2021 and 2023)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(1975, BFA) Santosh Jain came to art-making in his 70s as a young Printmaker from College Of Art, Delhi.
