Mine motifs are urban Indian objects, which I have taken from daily life. Many of mine work involve repetitive patterns of subordinate objects while the contrasting alpha object occupies pride of place. In contrast mine older works are more meditative and mystic.
In mine newer works, mundane objects that occupy pride of place, loosen their limbs and ascend into a higher space. And in their flight, they and their smaller complimentary (or in some cases, contrasting motifs) begin to lose their edgy boundaries and start to become one with the rarer atmosphere they have just entered. I try to find more mature, muted yet contemporary palette.
I always evolved a new way of searching for and finding new forms. This opens up a window into both the past and the future as far as that form is concerned. I managed to achieve significant variations in my divison of space and use of form. I also use specific content based on mine chosen themes to produce very engaging work \u2013 a major shift towards linear narration rather than the single repeated object having to bear the entire burden.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
(2005, BFA \/ 2007, MFA Painting) singha_studio@yahoo.co.in I define, my work is an examination of contemporary objects though the lens of gentle deconstruction and reconstruction.
