Born at Roorkee (Uttarakhand U P) a place between Delhi and Haridwar where the holy river Ganga flows. In the year 1950 moved to Delhi.
After school education joined College of Art, New Delhi which gave him the initial training of art in Portrait, Landscape, Life Study and Sketching. Print making was his favorite subject and the guiding force was internationally known Professor Somnath Hore. He achieved distinction in print making through the selection of his prints in National and international exhibitions.
He got a chance to meet Satish Gujral –a multi talented painter, sculptor, ceramist and architect inspired to diversify his talent in other fields beside art. He opted for a designer in Design Development Centre of Government of India. During this job he covered vast area of traditional arts in India. He got the opportunity to travel Japan, Europe and Scandinavian countries to promote Indian art & craft.
As a painter he continued to grow his vision and talent to create his concept in his own way. He believes in the flow of artistic expression.
