The journey of a woman is different in its varied aspects, from a growing child, young girl, to women and motherhood -the very representation of the continuing of human civilization. As a sculptress and artist, Sangeeta brings to her art form the sensitivity and compassion of the women to the forefront.
The journeys of her own empirical experiences find voice in her sculptures. From blooming lotuses to the reclining women of building blocks… the story of the woman being the focal point to building up of the society. Her figures show liberation, deep connection with the spiritual world and contentment with its surroundings. Her composite works, pose questions, the need to converse, own up, resolve.
What is interesting is the idea of getting into a dialogue with her sculptures. The timelessness of thoughts process is reflected in the meditative postures compelling the viewer to look consciously within and seek the same peace. Sangeeta’s sculptures are a celebration and joy of her womanhood and the quest of each individual to attain peace with oneself and the surroundings.
